Update: My daughter finally took the vehicle to another mechanic. According to this new mechanic, she was told that the mechanic at Big O Tires over filled thereby causing serious damage and it eventually locked up the engine. The mechanic took out the parts of her vehicle and mischievously change it to old ones. I will be posting pictures of what they did to her car later on.
The Regional Manager of Big O Tires has refused to pick our calls or show empathy. She's been under lot of stress as a result of this. Lost one of her jobs because she couldn't afford Uber to commute to this job. This is a young lady going to school and once had 2 jobs; trying to do the right thing.
Please stay away from Big O Tires especially if you're a female. A simple oil change has led to this nightmare.
never wast your money there

I have used this location for years and I always bring my own synthetic oil. This time the attendant told me that I could have saved a lot by using their oil. Then he stated "no more after this" When I asked why he stated that 'too many people complained.' I have no idea what he meant, that answer made no sense. One of the service techs came to the desk and his neck was covered in hickies! He should have been made to cover them up at least, very tacky and unprofessional! No one said anything about the rest of my fluids, if any were low, etc. I inquired and was told that they top them off. No other info. When I went to get back into my car there was grease on my leather seat and my brand new floor mat had a lot of black grease/dirt all over it! I asked that it be cleaned, and they did, but it never should have been returned to me like that! (same kid with all the hickies) I will not go back, ever. Also, this is important: the couple in front of me spoke a foreign language. The attendant was very short with them--he asked if they were going to stay or should he call them. When they didn't answer immediately he repeated his question, enunciating every word very slowly--it was not to be accommodating, it was very snotty. I thought about just going elsewhere because I felt embarrassed for this couple. I wish I had.
This is the worst company with the customer service I’ve been trying to call customer service for two weeks and nobody’s answering just a computer there’s nothing that you can do so you can talk to a representative so that’s why I’m gonna finish my bid ness with them and I hope lotta people see this review before they go to business with them

I had a very bad experience at the West LA location on Gateway blvd. I will never go back and recommend that you try somewhere else. Ask people you trust to recommend a place, don't just go here because it's there. I now have some one I trust but I drive by and feel bad for the people who go there expecting honest service. This is the best I can do to help you avoid a business that I do not trust.
I went to Big O to get tires for my Jetta; it took three visits and much paperwork and a few too many promises. One of those was $120 off if i applied for a BigO card. well, they finally did everything and when i went to pay their system declined me. so I paid the whole thing and went home to figure out how my credit score could be so bad. I own my home outright and have $$ in the bank so i inquried; after 4 conversations with them I found that Equifax dumped me becasue i didn't have any outstanding debts! so much for a good rating! and now i just got a note from BigO saying they couldnt let me have a card because i had been declined--by guess who!!! sure hope the tires are better than the company...
Twelve years ago I was new to the area and it was Christmas Eve..about 4PM. My tire was loosing air on my way home from shopping. I pulled into Big O (then another name)and they stayed overtime to fix my little Tracker tire. I've been a customer ever since! Today Bo Rafati ,the manager of the Savage Store, gave me a "on the house" oil change just because he's so kind (and I brought a dozen donuts) for the nice people that work there. You can believe I will tell people how great Big O is and their generous manager! Mary Gilmore
What a collection of inept clowns. The technicians may be ok but the office staff in the Sparks NV franchise is unbelievably feckless. I wouldn't bring a wheelbarrow tire for repair here.
5 Years ago I bought a set of Big O tires with a 60,000 limited warranty. I have never gotten 60,000 miles from a set of tires and didn't expect it but I thought that if I got 40,000, the value would be okay. I don't drive a lot but after 5 years, I had 31,000 miles and saw the tread on the rear tires would not pass State winter driving inspection. When I went back to see what it would cost to replace the tires under the warranty, they told me the warranty was good for 3 YEARS or 60,000 miles so all they would offer me is a new set of tires for what I paid for the original set, plus the installation, disposal fees and other charges. I will get my next tires somewhere else.

The Short: Poor quality of work, poorer customer service, unprofessional staff, and long wait times at the Fillmore Big O Tires in Colorado Springs, CO.
The LONG: Most people (like myself) are not mechanics. We need trustworthy, high-quality, and reliable auto shops to provide care and maintenance for our vehicles in a timely, convenient, and professional manner.
Big O Tires on Fillmore fails on all fronts.
My 1-star review shares the same problems in a long ling of Fillmore Big O Tires 1-star reviews - namely, poor quality of work, poor customer service, unprofessional staff, and long wait times...
Poor quality of work:
- I have had to take my vehicle in for the SAME failed flat repair THREE times... and it is flat again for a FOURTH time!
- On my second visit on 10/19/2020, they said the tire wasn't sealed correctly when the initial patch was installed. *The tire started leaking that same night.
- On my third visit on 10/24/2020, the assistant manager said the initial patch was installed incorrectly by his techs. He even mentioned that the quality of work depends on the techs he has in that day, and that recently he has had a lot of poor techs. (How is a customer supposed to respond to a statement like that!?!?!) *I took the vehicle for the first drive out since the repair two days later only to discover it was completely flat.
Poor Customer Service:
- I called Fillmore Big O Tires immediately upon discovering the flat tire and asked to speak to the assistant manager. I explained that this was the third FAILED flat repair attempt by Fillmore Big O Tires. I explained the difficult situation their poor service has put me in (had to cancel multiple meetings, physical therapy, and still have to pick up kids from daycare in the evening in BAD snowy weather). He said they would "get it sorted out" if I could bring it in. I asked him to pay for a tow truck. He said "I can't pay $99 for a tow truck. It's a free service." I told him it was poor customer service and he lost a customer that has done business with Fillmore Big O Tires since 2015. I even went so far as to explain the massive hole in his logic: if a fast food chain offered free food that was undercooked and caused food poisoning, 1) who's responsible? and 2) do you think customers will ever buy from their menu? No!
Big O Tires doesn't offer free flat repairs for no reason - they offer it because its good business! They capture more customers when they offer something free. That also means their free services/products must represent their quality of work and integrity as a business. Otherwise, no one will buy. The assistant manager did not demonstrate an understanding that the quality of his free service ACTUALLY matters. Just because it is free doesn't give the business an excuse to avoid owning their mistakes.
Good businesses understand that customer service is highest priority. I do not believe Fillmore Big O Tires understands this principle. The absence of this mentality is what puts businesses OUT of business. You lose lifelong customers for the LONG HAUL.
Unprofessional staff:
- Staff cuss in front of customers (most recently the assistant manager swore and complained about a distributor right in front of me)
- They take your phone number if you drop your car off so they can call you when it is ready to pick up. From the last three visits to Fillmore Big O Tires, I have been called ZERO times.
- The assistant manager has a sign by his station saying he has a medical exemption from wearing a mask during Covid. Fair enough. However, two other employees on 10/24/2020 were working in the lobby, helping customers, etc. without wearing a mask. They didn't even have a mask around their necks.
Long Wait Times:
- Each of the last three visits, I was told my flat tire repair would take 1 hour. Each visit took a minimum of 2 hours. One even took 3.5 hours.
I will be going elsewhere for all vehicle needs moving forward. I also cannot recommend them to anyone. I will even recommend people avoid Fillmore Big O Tires. Auto Shops are a dime a dozen - people deserve business that cares for their vehicles!
I have been a customer for several years. We have two vehicles in our home. We took the first one in and had what we felt was an excessively long wait time. I called and made an appointment for the second car. I arrived fifteen minutes early to check in. It took that full time to reach the counter. Tyson did a very good job on checking me in. They had two mechanics and one office person call out that day. I sat in the waiting area for close to two hours. In that time I watched and listened to customers come and go and most were very loud and verbal in their dissatisfaction of the service. When there was a short break in the line I approached the counter and asked if I could get on update on my vehicle. I was told they would check for me. A very short time later I was called up to check out. I was greeted by the manager and handed an invoice for $00. He thanked me for being patient and polite and apologized for the long wait time. This turned my frustration around. I left knowing I can still come to Big O and get the best service for my vehicles. Thank you and your staff for turning my service around.
Had to replace one tire on a RV, Big O in Redwood City, CA recommend to get all the brake pads changed and they would give me a great price. Did not even get an estimate at the time, nevertheless after all a $1600 job. Got this done and left for a road trip 4 weeks later. Brakes felt soft from the get go but I attributed this to the new pads. After about 40 miles had to do a hard brake in a traffic jam on I80. Barely got the RV not to crash into the car in front. Stopped 20 miles later in Fairfield with both rear brakes are smoking. Saturday afternoon and a Les Schwab diagnosed both calipers locked. Either wrong install or damaged during install of the new pads. $800 repair bill again. When going back to the BigO in RWC after returning the owner refuses to take responsibility claiming he can’t get information what was wrong. Even has the audacity to question, why the calipers were changed. Lousy quality in the first place, no sense of customer care and no pride in their work. Considering that I was just lucky that I did not end up in an accident because of the brakes, this is not acceptable at all. Never again.
